Gea Zwart is a Dutch professional visual artist.
She has been working as an autonomous artist and designer since 1992. Her training was at the well-known Minerva Art Academy in Groningen.

Gea Zwart has won several awards in the fields of art and business. Her work is exhibited around the world and at home. It has been purchased by companies and private collectors for their art collections.

She graduated as an autonomous artist in painting. She then went on to become an artist and designer of complex wall sculptures and modern painting. She experiments with all kinds of materials. In recent years, her design consists of art commissions.

Recycling of materials has become an important factor in her work. She uses residual materials from companies. Painting is closely intertwined with it.

My mission is to touch and move people.

Nature and people are important pillars in my work. We are part of a big universe and need to know our place in it and be caring.

I translate emotions and time spirit into modern art. Transformation and spirituality are elements that I value in my life and thus my art. My artworks grow under my hands. Freedom and playfulness I allow completely. I love metaphors and add them as an extra layer. The titles often refer to them. Nature is all about transformation. I can be found there often for inspiration. My work is abstract.

My hope is my art encourages people to become more open and loose in life. Close to your feelings and with love for the earth’.
